This spirit-like power to alter man's state of health (and hence to cure diseases) which lies hidden in the inner nature of medicines can in itself never be discovered by us by a mere effort of reason; it is only by experience of the phenomena it displays when acting on the state of health of man that we can become clearly cognizant of it.
மனிதனின் ஆரோக்கிய நிலையை மாற்றும் தன்மையுள்ள (அதே சமயம் நோய்களை தீர்க்கவும்) கண்ணுக்குப் புலப்படாத வலிமையான ஆற்றல் மருந்துகளினுள்ளே மறைந்து இருக்கிறது. அதை நமது பகுத்தறிவின் துணைகொண்டு முயற்சி செய்தால் கூட எக்காலத்திலும் கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியாது. மனிதனின் ஆரோக்கிய நிலைமையில் ஏற்படுத்தும் மாறுதல்களை அனுபவ வாயிலாகப் பார்த்தே தெளிவாக அறிய முடியும். ஆகவே மருந்தில் இருக்கும் நோய் தீர்க்கும் சக்தியை இதன் மூலம் தெளிவாக தெரிந்து கொள்ள இயலும்.
